Waiting...

Hi everyone!
I've been meaning to do an In My Mailbox video for a couple of days now, but I've hit a couple of snags.
Snag #1: My glasses will be coming in sometime this week. I'm not sure when but I really want to film the video with my glasses on. Especially since the blog is called foureyedbooknerd :P.
Snag #2: I'm expecting two books to be delivered to me in the near future, so I am waiting for both of those to include in the video. One is coming from Random Buzzers and the other is coming fro Amazon because my mom owed me money.
Snag #3: I don't have time!!!! It's so annoying! I wish I did, but I don't :P. I will do my best though!
As you can see, these aren't really major problems, but I am a perfectionist so it all has to be perfect or I will not be a happy person. At all.
I'll get the video up as soon as I can though!!! Promise!
Love,
Molly xx

Molly Reviews: Dash & Lily's Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan

Title: Dash & Lily's Book of DaresAuthor: Rachel Cohn and David Levithan
Pages: 260
Publishing Company: Ember
Publication Date: October 11, 2010
ISBN: 0375859557
My Rating:PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketSynopsis: Lily has left a red notebook full of challenges on a favorite bookstore shelf, waiting for just the right guy to come along and accept its dares. But is Dash that right guy? Or are Dash and Lily only destined to trade dares, dreams, and desires in the notebook they pass back and forth at locations across New York? Could their in-person selves possibly connect as well as their notebook versions? Or will they be a comic mismatch of disastrous proportions?

Review: This was an amazing book. Granted, it is a holiday book and I read it in the middle of summer, I couldn't be happier with this novel. The thing that sold me on this book was the fact that Dash's favorite bookstore was the Strand. I like, live there. The fact that it was his favorite made my life. Anyway, I wish that there was going to be a sequel! Ugh, if only.
Lily and Dash are complete polar opposites and even though it is a love story, you still don't know how things are going to turn out because so many things happen in the 260 pages. You all better read this book or I am going to come after you. Just kidding. But it's still an amazing book and all of you should read it :D.

Molly Reviews: Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta

Title: Jellicoe RoadAuthor: Melina Marchetta
Pages: 419
Publishing Company: Harper Teen
Publication Date: September 1, 2008
ISBN: 0061431834
My rating: PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketSynopsis: "What do you want from me? he asks. What I want from every person in my life, I want to tell him. More.Abandoned by her mother on Jellicoe Road when she was eleven, Taylor Markham, now seventeen, is finally being confronted with her past. But a the reluctant leader of her boarding school dorm, there isn't a lot of time for introspection. And while Hannah, the closed adult Taylor has to family, has disappeared, Jonah Griggs is back in town, moody stares and all.In this absorbing story by Melina Marchetta, nothing is as it seems and every clue leads to more questions as Taylor tries to work out the connection between her mother dumping her, Hannah finding her then and her sudden departure now, a mysterious stranger who once whispered something in her ear, a boy in her dreams, five kids who lived on Jellicoe Road eighteen years ago, and the maddening and magnetic Jonah Griggs, who knows her better than she thinks he does. If Taylor can put together the pieces of her past, she might just be able to change her future.

Review: This book was absolutely perfect! It was so enthralling and it had me crying. Melina Marchetta did a wonderful job writing this novel. The point of view in this book switches back and forth between Taylor who is the narrator throughout most of the book and Hannah's manuscript. I really liked Hannah's manuscript and I really wish that it could be a real book :P. All of the characters were described beautifully as well as the setting. This book is definitely one of my favorites. It was such an original concept and written in a way that kept you reading and made you not want to stop. This book definitely had several twists in it. I felt that the romance between Taylor and Jonah was rather obvious but I had absolutely no idea how it was going to end. That's what kept me reading. If you haven't read this book already, you need to. NOW. This is not an option.
