In My Mailbox (1)

Hey guys! So, I've decided that I'm going to start doing this weekly meme called In My Mailbox which is hosted by The Story Siren. In My Mailbox is basically a way of showing people the books that you have gotten in the past week so that people can see what kind of books you like to read and whatkind of books you will be reviewing!

Okay! Let's get started!!!

1. The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater
I've heard great things about this book and I'm really excited to read it!! I got this book from my library :P.
2. Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchette
This is another book that I've heard good things about AND that I've gotten out of the library. Sadly, this book doesn't have a GoodReads page :(.
This book has gotten mixed reviews and it seems like an interesting read. I'm kind of curious to see what it's about. This book I got out of the library as well.
4. The Awakening by L.J. Smith
I've been wanting to read some of L.J. Smith's books for the LONGEST time. I figured that this one would be a good start! This one I bought "used" from my library for 50 cents! It's in brand new condition so that's something I'm really happy about!
5. Night World #1 by L.J. Smith
Another one of L.J. Smith's books that I got for 50 cents.
6. Night World #2 by L.J. Smith
L.J. Smith for 50 cents :P.
7. Night World #3 by L.J. Smith
Another 50 cent book.
8. Dark Visions by L.J. Smith
Last L.J. Smith for now! Haha.
9. Troubling a Star by Madeleine L'Engle
I've loved her other books since I was little so I figured I would try out this one! I should let you know, I got a lot of books at the library for 50 cents.
10. A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks
I just love Nicholas Sparks, so when I saw this one in brand spanking new condition for 50 cents I grabbed it as fast as I could!
11. What My Mother Doesn't Know by Sonya Sones
This one's title got the better of me. When I looked inside after I had bought it, I realized that it was written in prose! I love those kinds of books so much! So I'm definitely glad I picked this one up.
12. The A-List by Zoey Dean
I've been meaning to read this book since I was in 6th grade but they never had it at my library. So I decided to get it for 50 cents since I highly doubt they will purchase a copy for loans.
13. Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson
I love this book so much! I got it out of my cousins library when I was spending a month there over the summer and I couldn't put it down. Since I know I'm going to re-read it several times, I bought it :P.
14. Cut by Patricia McCormick
I tend to like this kind of book so I decided to borrow this book from my best friend Sarah's bookshelf.
15. The Warrior Heir by Cinda Williams Chima
My friend Jessi and I are HUGE fans of YA Fantasy, so she lent me this book which is one of her favorites.
16. The City of Ember by Jeanne DuPrau
I have wanted to read this book so badly since the 4th grade. So, of course, I also borrowed this one from Sarah.
17. Looking for Alaska by John Green
I love John Green's novels, and this is Sarah's favorite so she let me borrow yet another one of her books. (Most of the books left on the list are borrowed from Sarah.)
This is a book that I've seen many a review of so I decided to read it. After I gave the librarian my 50 cents, I realized that I had purchased an ARC copy of the book! That just made me even more excited to read it.
19. Elsewhere by Gabrielle Zevin
Anther book that I've been meaning to read and that Sarah lent me.
This is a book that I've been trying to read since the 2nd grade. I would check it out of the school library and since we were only allowed to check a book out for a week, I was never able to finish it. That's why I just bought a copy for myself so that I could read it without a time limit.
21. Uglies by Scott Westerfield
I started this book in 6th grade, but then I got distracted and put it down. I borrowed it from the library so naturally, I had to return it. Now Sarah has lent me her copy and I will try not to get distracted this time.
22. The Alchemyst by Michael Scott
This book immediately caught my attention when I saw the words Nicholas Flamel. Since Sarah doesn't like YA Fantasy besides The Hunger Games and Harry Potter, she let me borrow this one.
23. Eragon by Christopher Paolini
I was originally going to borrow this book from Jessi, but she wanted to re-read the entire series before Inheritance came out so I borrowed it from Sarah instead.
24. 13 Little Blue Envelopes by Maureen Johnson
Another book that I've wanted to read and that was borrowed from Sarah.
25. The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold
I've been wanting to read this book since before the movie came out but I never got the chance. So, I bought myself a copy.
Click the titles to see the books' GoodReads page!

That's all for this week! Thanks for stopping by!
